Foreign investors pondering a plunge into Latin America will note with interest Mercer’s latest cost-of-living study, which confirms São Paulo as the most expensive city in all the Americas and high-altitude La Paz as the cheapest.

Of course, cost of living is just one of many factors that go into decisions about allocating staff and resources – not least the level of investment risk, which is still high in a region that sees its shares of coups, caudillos and nationalisations.

The Most Common Eczema – Atopic Dermatitis

Among the many major types of eczema, atopic dermatitis (sometimes called infantile eczema) is the most common. Most people develop atopic dermatitis before the age of five. This refers to a number of conditions where the skin is red and irritated.

“Atopic” means conditions where someone is sensitive to allergens like pollen, molds, dust, animal dander (fur and feathers), and some food. “Dermatitis” is the inflammation of the skin.

65% of the population develops atopic dermatitis during the first year of their lives, up to 90% until the age of 5. While it usually ends at the second year, around 50% suffers from it into adulthood as hand eczema.

New York most bedbug infested city in the U.S., says extermination company

International travel is being blamed for the bugs’ return 60 years after they were thought to have been eradicated in the U.S.

New York has more unwanted nocturnal guests than other urban areas and has been named the most bedbug infested city in the United States.

It surpassed Philadelphia, Detroit, Cincinnati and Chicago, which rounded out the top five cities, according to extermination company Terminix, which compiled the list based on call volume to its offices around the country so far this year.

“In the past, offices might get a couple of calls a month for bedbug eradication,” said spokesman Clint Briscoe. “Now, some of them are getting several dozen a week.”

The ‘instant contraceptive’ was talked about on the show when the latex residue acted as a clue to the motive for a woman’s violent murder.

The on-air mention drove thousands to search on Google for more information about the phrase ‘spray on condom’.

I always thought that a sewer drain is suppost to collect the water that builds up around it. Well, it seems that I was wrong! The local authorities in Bucharest have found a way to get the old “hole in the ground” wrong. The pictures were not taken in the same day.

Many people believe they consume enough calcium, but studies continue to show otherwise. According to the USDA’S Continuing Survey of Food Intake by Individuals, 90% of adult women, 88% of teenage girls, 73% of adult men, and 68% of teenage boys are not getting enough calcium from their diets. It is important to remember this: calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body, but your body does not produce calcium.

In a study of 35,000 post-menopausal women, researchers found that those who consumed more than 1500 milligrams of calcium per day had 30% less colon cancer than those who consumed less than 600 milligrams per day. Furthermore, a strong link between lower colon cancer risk and high intakes of calcium and vitamin D was also found in a 19-year study of men. Although it’s as yet unclear precisely how calcium may prevent colon cancer, some experts believe that the mineral may have an effect on bile acids.

Both the American and Canadian Cancer Societies advise men and women to have regular colon cancer screening beginning at age fifty. When detected at an early stage, there’s a 90% survival rate.
